Work in Progress - Detail

oil on canvas - detail

Am winding up a commission - a little boy and his cocker spaniel puppy, Sugar. Yesterday I painted Sugar and decided to post as a wip as it's been a while since I've completed a new painting to share ! A few tweaks are needed...but...Sugar is almost there...now back to the little boy! This one is fun!

  2. Oh Rosemary! I love this piece. Sugar looks so sweet (teehee) and I love that the iconic Crocs are immortalized in oil! The grass color is perfect, the blades having me envious of your talents. This will be gorgeous when it is finished!!

  4. Love your word play, AutumnLeaves! Now I have a big smile on my face! Must pull some blades of grass up over the paws and Crocs as soon as they are dry...Thanks so much for your compliments! Am eager to finish this one!

  5. Rosemary, this one really does look like fun. You don't have too much left to do, though. It looks great.

  6. Rosemary, you are just superb at portraits of people and dogs. That little dog looks just as if you would take him home with you. Also did a great job on those plastic shoes. Can't wait to see the rest of the painting.Silvia
