Daddy's Girl

8" x 10" Oil on Canvas

Commissioned by this precious little girl’s mother, their portrait will be her daddy's Father's Day gift next month. I was given permission to enter it in an early spring show at the VAC in Punta Gorda, Florida, and received lots of positive feedback and a possible new commission! It has now been delivered and I’m eagerly awaiting the father’s reaction! What a joy painting this one! However, a red dress on a baby was more challenging than I had imagined it would be.

  1. This is a wonderful painting, Rosemary. I saw it on my blog roll and it immediately caught my attention! I am sure that the father is going to have a tear in his eye when he gets his incredible gift.

  2. This is absolutely amazing and oh so beautiful, Rosemary. My husband just happened to come up behind me when I had just opened your page and he was awed himself. He said that you are so good, such a wonderful artist. If this daddy doesn't shed a tear with this gift, I'll be dumbfounded. Truly wonderful and no surprise to me that it garnered you another commission!
