This detail is from a portrait underway of a beautiful young lady and her family’s recently adopted shelter pet, Baby Girl. Baby Girl’s blue eye has limited or no vision, however, she sees "ok" with the brown one and has stolen everyone’s heart with her sweet personality. The painting is almost ready to sign and I’m pleased with the way it’s going while also working on a commissioned portrait. Hope to
post both of these soon. Stay tuned!
Ooohhh, I love that little face. I can't wait to see the whole painting. This part is really good.
ReplyDeleteRosemary, this is one of my favorites. Baby Girl is one gorgeous girl indeed.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Nancy and Sherry! Baby Girl isn't known for her "looks" but for her sweetness. I'm glad you think she's gorgeous, Sherry! Her sweet heart is! Nancy, hope to have the painting finished this week. I'm slow!
ReplyDeleteYou've captured such a great expression and sweetness from Baby Girl! Such a beautiful portrait, Rosemary!
ReplyDeleteRosemary, your portraits have such a compelling uniqueness and warmth. Every one has so much emotion that makes it truly a treasure. After spending time with one, I come away with the most happy feeling and this happens with every one of them. Thanks so much for sharing them here.
ReplyDeleteWhat super lucky persons, the owners!
Thank you Michelle. Glad you see how much Baby Girl enjoys attention. We don't think she had been physically abused - just neglected. She doesn't seem to take her food and water or hugs and kisses for granted. She's adorable.
ReplyDeleteAnother lovely, touching portrait on the way--how do you do it, Rosemary? I love the way you have captured Baby Girl's expression and personality so beautifully.
ReplyDeleteI like the dogs expression too very well pained Rosemary
ReplyDeleteThanks Mary and Rishi - I appreciate your comments more than you know!
ReplyDeleteReminds me of our late dog. He had limited vision in one eye and non in the other! But he managed.
ReplyDeleteDogs are amazing. They manage just fine whether they lose vision, hearing or a limb just so long as they are loved. Thanks for commenting!
