Gently Down the Stream - Third Place Winner
Thank you Desoto Arts and Humanities Council for sponsoring this beautiful show and lovely evening. It was such an honor to be presented an award by artist extraordinaire, Michele Held in person! Thank you, Michele! In lieu of an artist reception per se, following the awards ceremony members were treated to a delicious dinner as Rosemary Wiseman Seal entertained with soft Mozart selections at the piano.
Following dinner, Johan Bjurman invited us to an oil painting demo. He shared his palette, described his brushes, and explained each step while painting from a still-life setup. Totally inspirational. I cannot wait to get to the studio and start a still life of my own.
