Jade

Today I'm posting photos of our pretty Jade. We adopted her just after Christmas when we saw her photo on our local animal shelter's website. She's a Belgian Tervuren Shepherd...maybe a mix? For the last 25 years we have had male German Shepherds. Jade is our first female and our first Belgian. What a difference! She's just as smart and easy to train but very head strong. She is the sweetest dog ever...so very affectionate. Going for rides is her favorite thing in the whole world. Second is playing ball. I hope to paint her very soon...The painting in the slide show is of Joshua who died two years ago. We still miss him.

  1. Sweet pup!! I had a dobie/husky mix (odd combo!) that I still miss to this day. Now we have smaller dogs (also rescues) that I can lift in a hurry if I need to : -) Looking forward to seeing your portrait of lovely Jade!

  3. Belgian's are GREAT dogs! I had a Black one until she died of old age a few years ago. She was the smartest dog I've ever known...on the level with a Border Collie. You're in for a lot of fun with this beauty. She looks pure bred to me. Can't wait to see your portrait of her!
